HUKINS HOPS
POSTER DESIGN
Hukins Hop Farm has been growing British hops in the Kent countryside for over 100 years. Being a fifth-generation family farm, they really know their stuff. They cultivate a variety of different specimens but are particularly known for their English varieties like Fuggle, Golding, and Challenger.
The idea was to create a series of posters showcasing the personality and profile of each hop variety. Beyond highlighting aroma and tasting notes, the designs needed to pack in essential technical data, such as alpha acids, beta acids, and co-humulone levels, so brewers visiting the farm could get an instant snapshot of what makes each hop unique.
I styled each poster around a bold, structured "spec sheet" grid, giving them a clean, industrial edge softened by warm, earthy colour palettes specific to each variety. The Hukins Hops hop graphic anchors the background, balancing technical precision with a strong visual identity that feels at home in a working farm or brewery.
The posters are already hanging on site at the farm, but the bigger plan is to get them listed on the Hukins online shop soon, giving commercial brewers something smart to hang in the brewhouse and craft beer fans a clean piece of print for home.
