A BRAND BUILT FOR THE RED PLANET
Using a brief from a YouTube video by Will Paterson, I created a brand identity concept for Solar Drop, an e-commerce company delivering products from Earth to the inhabitants of Mars.
The brief was to create an identity for a company operating between Earth and Mars. It needed to feel futuristic and connected to space exploration, while still being approachable and trustworthy enough to feel like a company people would actually use.
I focused on the idea of the journey. A package leaving Earth and travelling through space towards Mars became the starting point for the identity.
The logo combines a simple sweeping trajectory with a stylised A, creating the impression of a shuttle travelling towards its destination. The star at the centre of the letter represents both space and the package being delivered to the red planet.
I wanted to avoid making the identity feel too sci-fi, instead creating something that felt more like a modern technology and e-commerce brand. The result is a simple, flexible mark that brings together space, movement and delivery in one visual idea.
